Since I started helping on www.psychicradio.co.uk I have had some wonderful experiences in meditation, the most memerable being 2 September 2008, which you can read about on my blog 'www.honeymalone.wordpress.com'

Some benefits of meditation are:


It lowers oxygen consumption.
It decreases respiratory rate.
It increases blood flow and slows the heart rate.
Increases exercise tolerance in heart patients.
Leads to a deeper level of relaxation.
Good for people with high blood pressure as it brings the B.P. to normal.
Reduces anxiety attacks by lowering the levels of blood lactate.
Decreases muscle tension (any pain due to tension) and headaches.
Builds self-confidence.
It increases serotonin production which influences mood and behaviour. Low levels of serotonin are associated with depression, obesity, insomnia and headaches.
Helps in chronic diseases like allergies , arthritis etc.
Reduces Pre- menstrual Syndrome.
Helps in post-operative healing.
Enhances the immune system. Research has revealed that meditation increases activity of 'natural-killer cells', which kill bacteria and cancer cells.
Also reduces activity of viruses and emotional distress.

Remember Meditation is not something that is done by the mind, It is the absence of the mind. When the mind stops meditation happens, it is not something out of the mind, it is something beyond the mind.

Meditation is not something that you do. It is, only when your doer has gone and you are totally relaxed and not doing anything, in a deep state of let-go, rest - there is meditation. Then meditation flowers. It is the flowering of your being. It has nothing to do with becoming. It is not an achievement, it is not an improvement; it is just being that which you already are.

I do a Form of Dance Meditation and will record it and share. Each move has meaning.

Gland Points Mediation.
Hi,
Would like to share a very nice meditation. Start concentrating on your Pineal point(Centre cone of Crown Chakra) move to Mouth of God point(Back of Third eye Chakra - Back of Throat Chakra, Adrelanin point(Back of Solar Plexus Chakra - Back of Hara Chakra, Kidney point, Secrum point and finally the Perineum point. Move upto Navel, Solar Plexus chakra, Heart chakra, Throat Chakra and then to the front of Third eye chakra. Connect the Perineum point to the pineal point and then observe your experience and to share the same. Aprior to commencing this meditation, those who practise Reiki, do draw Master Symbol and pray to your higher self to assist you. Master of other Alternative systems, please use your own technique to connect and do share the experience.
